Privacy Policy
How Soloshine handles your personal data, under UK GDPR.
Who we are
Soloshine Cleaning Services (“we”, “us”) is a cleaning and laundry service based in Manchester (M3 6JN). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@soloshine.co.uk.
What we collect
When you contact us, request a quote or make a booking, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your address, postcode and — if you set a pin on the map — the approximate location (coordinates) of your property, so we can find you for a visit, collection or delivery.
- Details of the service you want and any notes you send us.
- Basic technical information needed to run the website securely.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data, and we don't ask for it.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To respond to enquiries and quotes — on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- To provide and arrange services (including collection and delivery) — to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records and handle any complaints — our legitimate interests and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, under appropriate agreements:
- Our email provider, to deliver your enquiry or booking to our inbox.
- Map services (OpenStreetMap) load the map you use to set your location; your request to those services is subject to their own terms.
- Our payment processor (Stripe) handles card details securely — we never see or store your full card number.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- ask for a copy in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email info@soloshine.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep it confidential. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data once we receive it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
